Hey - I'm looking at the usual references to her, and see it's quite a mix out there. She's listed as Wynonna Judd on places like Amazon, etc., and in some press releases on her own site - but in other spots, yeah, she's referred to in the singular. The article that was originally at José Fidalgo (a Portuguese actor) was moved to Jose Fidalgo, whilst José Fidalgo was used for the hoax article. need your oppinion

Concerning this AFD. I made the nomination after a contested PROD, for a board game who's article does not assert notability, and a web search turns up with nothing that is independent or non-trivial. This has evolved into a somewhat heated argument, some contributors are arguing that the notability requirements do not apply in this case, or not to the same extent. I need an honest oppinion, from someone whose been involved with AfD discussions for longer than I have. I'm not asking you to vote in the discussion or weigh in one way or another, but was I completely off base making this nomination? I'm asking is because I was involved with another very heated AfD discussion a few days ago which almost had me headed to community sanction for WP:POINT violations and wikilawyering due to a particular sysop who didn't like my non-inclusionist attitude and frankly I'm second guessing myself at this point and don't want another fiasco. Hello TPH. Just want to let you know that the socks of WhichWay676676 are in fact part of the User:StealBoy family (which is itself probably related to the User:Lyle123 family. I've been tracking this moron for a long while now (I've stopped adding the new socks to the relevant category if only to deny him recognition, but see my log of blocks to get an idea of how tenacious he's been). The pattern is exactly the one you noticed: creation of hoax articles on children films and TV series. Dmcdevit has been assisting me by regularly performing checkusers to try and block the underlying IP range and I'd be grateful if you can let me or Dmcdevit know when you run into this guy. 'Hoax' page: Tauro-Piscean Language

Hi. You tell me off, claiming that the page was a hoax page and I never intended it to be that way. It's not a hoax; it was meant to be a genuine educational page about a constructed language, which has gained some interest of others.

However, I am fine with it being deleted because it does go against 'What Wikipedia Is Not'. I advise, in future, that you refrain from confronting people as you did me. You could've just said that the page was inappropriate and I would have accepted that, but you had to go all extremist, giving me warning triangles, which is quite unpleasant.

Destruction Of Song Articles

I have asked you before to STOP destroying song articles. Here we go again. Your have made the misguided and subjectivly independent decision that articles on two highly recognizable hit singles by the artists George Jones and Sammy Kershaw deserve to be destroyed and merged into your own articles on the artists. This is extremely questionable that you continue to destroy song articles for the enhancement of your own artist articles. STOP. This is not "destruction," this is called 'collaborative editing' and is a quite valid approach to dealing with what an editor feels is a problematic edit. Stop calling it "destructive."

Having said that, Hammer, it appears there's some concern about this. I'd suggest going to WT:MUSIC and starting a discussion about the notability of songs, because obviously there's never going to be agreement from Wikibones, as that appears. Tony Fox (arf!) 18:25, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Tony...thank you for your attention to the issue. With regard to my choice of the word "destructive", TenPoundHammer's complete redirect of a HIT song article into an album article totally obliterates the song article and the researchable data within that article (the writers, links to artists who have recorded it, cummulative chart data related to the song, awards the song has won, links to websites about the song, links to references, etc). Such actions by TenPoundHammer can hardly be called "collaborative editing", and cause extreme loss of researchable data. If the word "destructive" doesn't apply, I'm not sure what else to call it. It certainly isn't "collaboratve editing" when ONE person subjectively decides what is notable, ONE person subjectively decides what articles contain reasonable references, ONE person subjectively decides to delete others' work on chart HIT song articles by redirecting them to his own articles on artists. System 6 GA

Thanks for the feedback. I was unsure about submitting it to GA so soon. I had not heard of MacroMaker before, but when I researched System 6 to cite this article, I found it mentioned quite a lot strangely. Charles P Kindleberger III article

OK, I would acknowledge this article Charles P. Kindleberger III I created some years ago may be borderline Wikipedia:COI since I know the guy and used to work for him.

However, I would submit to his notability specifically in the context of community networks and in applied statistical research. If somebody such as Michael Gurstein warrants an article, so does Mr. Kindleberger.

For example, he was part of the panel behind the book Modernizing the US Census. He has also authored or co-authored several chapters in academic works since his retirement from government service, and has long been active in the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) and the American Statistical Association.

Anyway, not to belabor the point, but I'd like the opportunity to integrate additional references into the article in order to show notability of the individual. I realize Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a "Who's Who", yet I think this individual is sufficiently notable for inclusion.

Belginusanl vandal

Hi, I saw your reply to User:Usaman101's claim of not knowing what the sockpuppet accusation meant. I've been watching this vandal's favorite pages for a good while now, and the vandal's pattern is very distinct. I am sure that this is simply another sockpuppet. In my experience, new users rarely know how to add images to articles properly, or how to preview pages, and as a result may often use as many as a dozen edits and still not size it properly. Not only does this user know how, he also very conveniently added some of Belginusanl's favorites (Belginusanl is notorious for his obsession with female child models, this one in particular) for his very first few edits. Even the naming pattern is telling. Compare Usaman101 with USANational, Belgieusanational, and Cyberman101, a few of his previous monikers. Unbelievable dab

Would I be correct in assuming that Unbelievable (disambiguation) was deleted because you tagged it for deletion after moving the dab page to Unbelievable? If this is the case, I just wanted to let you know, for future reference, that (disambiguation) pages should not be deleted when the dab is moved to the plain title. Such redirects are useful for intentionally linking to a dab page, because they let disambiguators know which incoming links don't need to be fixed. You can re-create it if you want to, but at the moment nothing links to it, so there's no compelling reason to do it immediately. It can/will be re-created when somebody needs it. I didn't start it this time, so that should say something. However, I'm not so sure I follow your logic on news coverage. as the sources cited in the AfD have nothing to do with her - they are, quite frankly, namedropping, so I would posit the coverage is trivial. Also, SpectralAgent does look like an SPA; no edits aside from the AFD and cursory user and talk page creation. However, said account, posted on Animate's page, having scoured the other AFDs. An editor nominating articles for GA, articles that I mostly impoved

I see that there has been an editor running around nominating soap opera articles for Good Article status. These are articles that I've greatly impoved. I would rather these articles have not been reviewed yet, though they don't seem to have been properly reviewed anyway. I feel that Todd Manning, after a few more tweaks, is ready for GA. It is currently one of the best fictional character articles on Wikipedia. I'd rather have been the first to take that to GA. Oh well. I'm without computer access right now (been using the PlayStation 3 to communicate online). Most questions concerning these articles should be directed at me. You asked that editor why do J.R. Chandler and Babe Carey have individual articles and a joint article. My answer is in the old deletion debates of that article and is evident by just looking at them. But to clear something else up (if it isn't clear), when I stated that these articles weren't properly reviewed, I was referring to how that editor listed these articles. Country Album Reviews from The 9513

Hey, I just noticed that you undid some of my edits--you removed album reviews (from The 9513) that I added to James Otto, George Strait, and Josh Gracin. The 9513 is a professional source--in fact, it's the second most widely read country music publication in the country (U.S.), and shares at least one critic with Country Weekly (which is the largest). Also, I've run it through the Albums project group.

• Also, you yourself recently edited the song page for "Every Other Weekend" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Every_Other_Weekend), which contains a critical reference from the same source that you have been deleting album reviews from.
• Another edit: I don't mean to beat this point into the ground, but when you undid one of my edits you reasoned: "(rm 9513 spam)". I'm not sure how adding a relevant, reliable album review is "spam".

Update: Thanks for the reply. No worries. I personally find it frustrating that 99% of the country albums on here only have reviews from AMG, which, in my opinion, are useless most of the time. So I've taken it upon myself to start fixing some of that, and hopefully to actually start contributing some new material.

As far as the "blog" exclusion...if you go to the album project page, this is what it says: "...(which excludes personal blogs)." I think there's a big difference between an electronic publication (speaking generally here) that calls itself a "blog" and "personal" blog, which would seemingly be the non-professional website of someone not professionally employed in the industry. In this case, the site in question certainly exceeds the standard of the "personal blog," and significantly surpasses (I think) the benchmarks set by the precedent of the current 'not allowed' review sites (again, as per the project page).

Anyhow, I appreciate the discussion and your even-headedness about this. I'm pretty new to Wiki, but everyone seems to be mostly reasonable here...which is NICE! Countrymusicfan (talk) 17:37, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
